Hi everyone. I’ve been doing really well with my water challenge – 9 cups a day and still going strong. Remember how I said I hadn’t noticed any overt benefits? Well after about a week of the challenge, my skin started clearing up a lot. My breakouts are more mild, and the tiny bumps I’ve had all over my forehead and cheeks (which i’d previously just chalked up to clogged pores) have gone away! And we’re talking about skin issues that I’ve been at my wits end trying to solve with different brands of cleansers for months.
That being said, I think it’s time for me to add more to my plate. I’ve really been on the fence – not sure whether my challenge should be “go back to Paleo because that was working great” or something smaller and more manageable like the last challenge. In the theme of small sustainable changes, however, I will spend the next week making/packing 100% Paleo breakfasts. No more quick runs through McDonalds because a cheeseless sausage McMuffin is $1 and 310 calories. I decided on this because I’ve been doing it for the last two days, and while it takes a little more in the way of time management on my end, it’s ultimately more filling and allows for a broader range of foods than what I would get at the work cafeteria or from a drive-through.
