I did it! I was feeling very intimidated by the thought of running for 3 minutes straight (yes, I am that out of shape), but I did it. I did break my “don’t look at the timer while running” both times, but I didn’t stop and used it as motivation to push on each time. I’m going to have to revise my route as I find myself cursing the Portland metro topography, but I have an idea of where I will go to have more even terrain, so that shouldn’t be a problem.
